A "Celtic Wedding Goblet" turned from local irish spalted Mountain Ash. With captive rings and natural edged, this is a favourite gift for weddings, engagements and 5th anniversaries.

The legend of the Celtic Wedding Goblet dates back to the 17th Century. A young man who is in love would take a piece of wood from which he would carve a goblet. The cup would all be carved from one piece of wood. The stem would be captured by the two wooden rings. While the rings remained unbroken so would their love!

I usually make these goblets about 7 inches tall.
