On the Rocks by Jack Savona
Inspired by watching Alan Carter's You Tube video on split bowls, plus living on the coast of Maine.
Mahogany hull, elephino sail, brass rod and piece of saved bark for a base.
Put in a local gallery for $230 and sold within 3 days.
I narrate a local tourist trolley 10-12 hours a week. As I pass by the gallery with my turnings on the window sill, I humbly point them out. A passenger bought it! Wish my other bowls would sell as fast.
Forgot to take measurements before shipping it out, but the acorn should help. I usually use a Hershey Kiss, but I guess my sweet tooth got it.
