I'm building this casement window for our family room to replace an old picture sash which is falling apart. The frame is all western red cedar while the sash is mahogany. I'm using bronze interlocking weatherstripping, old casement hardware for the stays and locks, galvanized hinges with brass pins. Also the sash will have "energy panels" of the type used in Marvin Windows. Exterior trim is AZEK. The lower sash will be clear glass while the upper will take 28 pieces of stained and pressed glass in different colors. I salvaged the glass from an old sash I bought years ago. It ids assembled here so that I could fit all the hardware. It's disassembled now and is slowly being painted. I use B.Moore Satin Impervo inside and boat paint outside, trying to avoid latex.
